 Gold smuggling: Three Kenyan women smuggled one kg of gold into their genitals, caught at Mumbai airport

The gold was extracted under the supervision of doctors at JJ Hospital


Smugglers are trying different techniques to smuggle gold. However, a shocking case of smuggling of gold from Guptang has come to light in Mumbai. The Mumbai Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) found about a kilogram of gold in the genitals of three Kenyan women who were apprehended at the airport.

According to NCB zonal director Sameer Wankhede, the three women arrived at Mumbai from Doha at the CSMI airport on August 17. Nothing was found from them during the inspection of their luggage. This was followed by an interrogation at his place. There was great discomfort inside them at the time. Eventually he requested medical help. Accordingly he was brought to Sir JJ Hospital and has been under medical supervision ever since.

A medical examination of the three women revealed that they had something hidden inside the vagina and rectum. A total of 937.78 grams of gold was extracted from the genitals from the three women under the supervision of doctors. There were a total of 13 packets containing a total of 17 gold pieces.

Pieces of gold ranged in weight from about 20 grams to about 100 grams. The accused put the gold inside the condom and hid it in the genitals. The women have been identified as Mahmoud Khuresha Ali (61), Abdullahi Abdia Adan (43) and Ali Saadia Alo (45). The case was handed over to Customs for further investigation as the NCB was handling the drugs case.
