Passengers now have the facility to book train and flight tickets on the IRCTC website, but now online bus booking is also being done from here. Yes, IRCTC (Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation) has started offering online bus tickets to passengers since last month.

The bus booking service started from January 29
The IRCTC said in a statement, "Online bus booking has been introduced to give customers a better experience. Passengers will now be able to book a bus by visiting the IRCTC (www.bus.irctc.co.in) website. The service has been launched across the country from January 29, 2021.
Rising IRCTC on ‘One Stop Shop Travel Portal’
According to reports, IRCTC is slowly emerging as the country's first government one-stop shop travel portal. It said that in order to provide customers with a pleasurable travel experience, IRCTC is already offering train and flight booking facility and has also launched online bus booking service.

Bus tickets can be booked on mobile
IRCTC will complete the integration of this service on mobile-application in the first week of March. After this, passengers will also be able to book bus tickets online through the app. It may be mentioned that IRCTC has partnered with operators covering more than 50,000 state road transport as well as private states covering 22 states and 3 union territories to provide online bus booking service to the customers.

Passengers can book bus tickets from IRCTC to their destinations on different routes of the country. In addition, customers will be able to choose their pick-up and drop point and time and book at reasonable prices with bank and e-wallet discounts. Apart from this, passengers will also be able to get information on routes, features, reviews, ratings and buses on the website and application.
